In the period April-May 2021, according to item 9.1.3. from the Improvement Program in the A-Integrated Environmental Permit, TE-TO AD Skopje replaced the existing standard EnVironmental (EV) burners with low-emission EV-Alpha burners. EV-Alpha burners are manufactured by the renowned manufacturer GE Power and represent an upgrade of the environmental burners EnVironmental (EV) using the latest combustion technology. With this technology, a significant reduction of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide emissions is carried out. Although the existing burners met the national emission regulations, TE-TO AD Skopje, as a socially responsible company, realized this investment in order to:
– reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions by an additional 35-40% compared to the concentrations guaranteed by the existing burners and 3-4 times below the limit values according to the A-Integrated Environmental Permit,
– reduction of carbon monoxide (CO) emissions far below the limit values according to the A-Integrated Environmental Permit,
– increasing the combustion stability.
With the investment, all of 72 gas turbine burners have been replaced.
The reduced concentrations of the monitored parameters NOx and CO are continuously confirmed through measurements from TE-TO AD Skopje’s own emission monitoring system, as well as by an external accredited laboratory.
